Q: What makes the Easy Reasoning curriculum distinctive? Click to view the answer.

A: It shows how to relate the subjects to your student to make them more interesting. And it helps you lead your student to God’s purpose for him. It teaches good citizenship throughout the subjects as it shows the student his importance to his country. It shows how America’s liberty is linked to the liberty Christ brings.

Q: Do I have to teach everything in Easy Reasoning K/1st to accomplish the requirements for Kindergarten?  Click to view the answer.

A:  No. State requirements vary, but you will find that your Kindergartener will be well prepared for entering the first grade by following along with the Kindergarten track in the curriculum.

Q: Should I use Easy Reasoning – K/1st or Easy Reasoning - 1st/2nd for my first grader?

A:  The material in Easy Reasoning K/1st for the 1st grader is provided for the student who is on-track with national standards. Your first grade student would learn the materials labeled Level I and also add the advanced materials labeled Level II as well. Choosing which book would best fit your student mainly depends upon the proficiency level of reading and his ability to identify the phonograms within words. If your student reads 4-5 letter words in chapter books and can consistently name and number most of the phonograms within his books, he is most likely ready for the advanced 1st grade material available in Easy Reasoning - 1st/2nd. He would work on the materials labeled Level I in that case.

Q:  Would I have to stick to the material all the time?  What if I wanted to incorporate something of my own to the day’s lesson? Click to view the answer.

A:  You do not have to add anything to the lessons, but the teacher should always feel free to incorporate other things.  Any life experiences, as related to the student’s character  growth, like a field trip to the Philharmonic, or extra focus on a topic of special interest to the student could add interest to the student’s notebook.  To include an out-of-classroom experience, it is recommended that you take a picture, so you have a pleasant reminder of the experience that will fit into a notebook.

Q: Will there be more curriculum available in the future?  Click to view the answer.

A:  Yes. The goal is to add to the curriculum until all elementary grade levels are available.
